Head of Service - Early Help & Prevention - Permanent - Haringey - £62,200 - £71,900p/a

We are looking for a highly experienced Children's Services Manager to take on a Head of Service role within Haringey's Early Help and Prevention Service. You will be joining a Council who is continually transforming its services for children and young people, which has already seen exciting, innovative changes being made.

In this Service you will be joining fellow colleagues who strive for continuous improvement in their practice, aiming to ensure that there are outstanding outcomes for children and families living in Haringey.

Your duties in this Early Help Head of Service role will include:

  • Ensuring the effective planning and delivery of the highest quality Early Help and Preventative Services
  • Maintaining effective multi agency partnerships
  • Targeting resources and services in order to achieve successful prevention and early intervention
  • Enabling communities and partners to develop the skills and competencies to work in effective and cohesive partnership with the Council 
  • The responsibilities include the following services: Early Help, Children's Centres, Youth Services and Troubled Families

Essential requirements of the role:

  • Significant experience developing and sustaining effective multi-agency and partnerships
  • Extensive partnership experience of multi-agency work and multi-disciplinary practice
  • Effective leadership of teams, budgets, assets and people
  • Comprehensive experience of Ofsted inspection and regulatory requirements for statutory children’s social care services
  • Social work qualification (additional leadership qualification will be beneficial)
  • HCPC registration and the right to work in the UK
