Supervising Social Worker - Fostering Organisation - Permanent - Kent - up to £38,000p/a

A Fostering Charity Organisation who provides an outstanding service to its foster carers and community is looking for a supervising social worker to join them. You will be based in Whitstable, Kent. 

The aim is to provide all young people with the very best foster placements so that young people will have a stable and consistent experience of family life.

You will be expected to work with a degree of independence and autonomy and can expect to receive close and supportive supervision in return. At times, you may be required to represent the agency alone on inter-agency matters.

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Provide an efficient and cost effective service to children, young people and fostering families
  • Investigate, evaluate and analyse information on cases
  • Develop practice which takes a holistic view of the individual
  • Ensure that all casework and foster care services comply with requirements
  • Liaise with and work in partnership with other agencies and organisations
  • Ensure that relevant documentation is available and current for children looked after by foster carers
  • Prepare and submit written reports as and when required

As a qualified Social Worker, you will be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Experienced within a fostering service
  • The holder of a UK driving license
