Social Worker - Assessment Service - Permanent - Dudley - up to £37,475p/a

Responsibilities as an Assessment Social Worker:

  • Be an effective part of the Restorative Practice Model
  • Focusing on building relationships, valuing people and working together to achieve positive outcomes
  • Managing your own caseload depending on experience and complexity of cases
  • Utilising specialist knowledge for appropriate interventions, needs assessments, care planning and child protection investigations
  • Working in a collaborative way to best support families and children
  • Carrying out high quality assessments, using child-centred, community focused, and multi-agency interventions to bring about positive change
  • Ensuring children and young people are adequately protected in line with Dudley LSCB, departmental policy and procedures, and relevant legislation

As a Social Worker, you will be:

  • Social work qualified with a good level of experience in working with children and families
  • Have completed section 47 investigations
  • Possess sound knowledge of legislation and guidance
  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
