Team Manager - Looked After Children - Permanent - Bromley - up to £47,057p/a

Our Client has an excellent opportunity to join one of Bromley's Looked After Children Teams as a Social Work Team Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take responsibility for the overall effective delivery and where necessary improvement of the services within their discipline. Lead and motivate a team ensuring all member work effectively with all parties to implement the statutory duties and responsibilities.

As a Team Manager of a Social Work Team, you must:

  • Manage, supervise and develop staff to enhance performance
  • Develop new services, where necessary, with partner agencies
  • Initiate, plan, manage and implement change
  • Liaise and negotiate effectively across agency boundaries in order to provide effective support
  • Establish Quality Assurance and Performance Management frameworks, which are able to identify good practice and promptly address areas of concern
  • Ensure that timely appraisal, supervision, support and direction are provided to staff
  • Promote equality and anti-discriminatory practice, and recognise the importance of equality issues for both staff and service users

Requirements for this role include:

  • Being eligible to work within in the UK
  • To be a qualified social worker with HCPC
  • A broad knowledge of social work practice and legislation, including safeguarding
  • An ability to demonstrate excellent assessment and analysis skills
