Supervising Social Worker - Fostering Innovations - Permanent - Uxbridge - starting from £28,000p/a

Our client are in need of a supervising social worker to join their independent fostering agency in Uxbridge, West London.

As a supervising social worker, you will be responsible for acting as a link worker for foster carers and looked after children. The role of a SSW is a key position that brings together the needs of looked after children and young people, the support and management of foster carers, liaison with the placing authority and the administration and delivery of the service.

As a Supervising Social Worker in an IFA, you will:

  • Provide an efficient and cost effective service to children, young people and fostering families
  • Develop practice which takes a holistic view of the individual
  • Ensure that all casework complies with statutory requirements and regulations
  • Ensure that investigations, enquiries and assessments are completed to high professional standards
  • Liaise with and work in partnership with other agencies and organisations, to support care plans and the work of foster carers
  • Ensure that relevant documentation is available and current for children looked after by foster carers
  • Attend panels, conferences, reviews and court as required for each case 
  • Prepare and submit written reports as and when required
  • Provide statistics relating to own workload as and when required

As a qualified Social Worker, you will be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Experienced within a fostering service
  • The holder of a UK driving license
