Role responsibilities as a Fostering Service Team Manager:

  • Ensuring that policies, systems and resources are managed to enable the Directorate to achieve its objectives and continuously improve its performance
  • Being accountable for and promoting equality, diversity and community cohesion
  • Participating in Performance Review and Development meetings and undertaking a plan of training where necessary
  • Being flexible in their approach and undertaking other duties that are commensurate with the level
  • Representing the Council and Directorate in a professional manner meeting the Corporate and Directorate aims
  • If appropriate, to be responsible for the recruitment and performance management of designated teams and individuals in accordance with Corporate and Directorate aims and management style
  • Complying with the Council's financial regulation and standing orders
  • Actively promoting Dudley's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults
  • Complying with the Council's Health and Safety Policies
  • Being responsible for adhering to legislative requirements and Council Policies and Procedures including, but not exclusively health & safety, Data Protection and Internet/Email use
Essential requirements:
  • To be an experienced social work Assistant / Team Manager
  • Experienced in Fostering and/or Adoption
  • To be a qualified social worker
  • HCPC registration
