Social Worker - First Response Team - Permanent - Northamptonshire - £34,277 - £43,864p/a

Northamptonshire County Council are looking for Social Workers to become part of their First Response Team within their Children's Services. You will be offered an excellent benefits package as a permanent Social Worker including access to their excellent Social Work Academy. 

Your aim in this role will be to deliver and provide professional social work services to children, young people and families to ensure the welfare of children and young people is safeguarded and they are protected. This will need to be in accordance with the legal and statutory obligations of Children First Northamptonshire.

Within the First Response Team, your duties will include:

  • Providing practical and social work support for children, young people and families
  • Holding a complex caseload
  • Undertaking assessments
  • Visiting children and their families
  • Carrying out interventions
  • Taking on direct work with children, young people and families

Requirements of the role:

  • To be a qualified Social Worker
  • HCPC registration and eligibility to work in the UK
  • To have completed the ASYE
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills
