We are looking for Children's Social Workers or current Senior Social Workers to join Hillingdon Council as part of their First Response and Out of Hours Team. We are looking for experienced, knowledgeable, skilled social work professionals who want to invest their energy into achieving better and better outcomes for children and their families.

Within this service, the Multi-Agency Assessment Hub (MASH), Referral and Assessment Teams (RAS) and Emergency Duty Team (EDT) aim to provide timely assessments and signpost children to the right service at the right time.

A Children's Social Worker will need to have experience of:

  • Working with children who are on Child Protection Plans, Looked after Children and Children in Need
  • Attending court 
  • Initial statements for court 
  • Children and family assessments 
  • Working with new Public Law Outline (PLO) 
  • Section 47's 
  • Core assessments 
  • Child protection meetings  
  • Case conferences  
  • Attending LAC reviews   

A qualified Social Worker will have:

  • Completed their ASYE in a Children's Services team/s
  • HCPC registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
