Senior Social Worker - Adult Learning Disabilities - Central Bedfordshire - £32 per hour

We are looking for a Senior Social Worker to work in a Adult Learning Disabilities Team in Bedfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity that brings together the operational and commissioning functions for developing high quality, best value learning disability services with a strong emphasis on shaping and developing the local market.

As a Senior Social Worker you will utilise operational experience and knowledge to contribute towards the commissioning of existing and new learning disability services. An area of focus will be to undertake a programme of service reviews to ensure that the care and support is proportionate and to ensure services are achieving value for money.

The post holder will be expected to support a full range of commissioning activity whilst ensuring effective partnership working that adopts a whole system approach. The post holder will contribute towards shaping the local market that responds and delivers creative, innovative models of care and support that delivers positive outcomes to our local population whilst achieving value for money.

Duties as a Adult Learning Disabilities Social Worker:

* Act as an appropriate adult for service users with mental health issues
* Write social circumstance reports and attend tribunals
* Attend court hearings on behalf of client and progress cases in court of protection
* Progress cases in court of protection
* Carry out assessments and reviews in the community to assess service users' needs
* Carry out and implement care packages and support plans to completion
* Attend CPA reviews
* Manage complex case load

Essential Requirements:

* HCPC registered
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Post qualified experience
* Full UK license holder
