Social Worker - Adult Services/Hospital Team x 10 positions - Birmingham - £24.47 per hour

We have exciting roles available across Birmingham for experienced social workers to be based in the following hospitals: Queen Elizabeth, City Hospital, Heartlands Hospital or Good Hope Hospital.

In this role as a social worker you will be supporting existing social work teams based at these localities, and work a total of 35 hours. This is an exciting opportunity to join hospital teams - during this period of change, one of which to implement the rollout of 3 conversations model. We are also looking for flexibility to be part of weekend working as we are also looking to recruit to front end projects within hospitals called REACT+ or OPAL that will require workers possibly working 2 weekends per month (with no more than 35 hours). REACT+ and OPAL and front end services at all main Acute hospitals that target citizens that have been admitted to hospital, with a view to hospital admission avoidance by offering support to return citizen home with an array of support/services. Birmingham Acute hospitals are going through an exciting period of change, and we are looking for experienced workers to join us

Responsibilities as a Hospital Social Worker:

* To protect adults at risk of abuse by using safeguarding procedures
* Assist and participate in the management of the duty service and carry out screening of clients to determine criteria to be supported by the service
* To be expected to also work in the (D2A)
* To be able to identify and carry out MCA
* To be part of the MDT and BI meetings when required on the wards

Requirements:

* HCPC registered
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Full UK licence holder
