Senior Social Worker - The Children's Trust - Surrey - £34 to £35 Per Hour

We're currently working with The Children's Trust who are looking for a Senior Social Worker. This is based in Tadworth and offers an amazing opportunity to work with children with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

The role will be to provide pre-admission assessment and planning for families whose children will receive services at The Children's Trust. You will support families during their stay and work with the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT), The Children's Trust School, and external organisations, to plan an effective discharge. You will contribute to best practice and service development within a multi-disciplinary team. The social work role is key in supporting the multi-disciplinary team, in planning and negotiating transition home, or discharge to appropriate services in the community.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

* Detailed understanding of the theory and practice of care assessment, planning; sound knowledge of relevant legislation
* Possesses knowledge related to a specialised area of practice and understanding of wider practice, including critical awareness of current issues and practice research
* Continues to develop specialist knowledge of children and adults with disabilities and complex health needs, and children with Acquired Brain Injury and understands the impact of these on their lives and families
* Sound understanding of diversity characteristics and principles of equality
* Detailed understanding of risk factors and the strategies to reduce risk
* Detailed understanding of health, safety and wellbeing issues

Essential Requirements:

* HCPC registration
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Post-qualified experience
