Social Worker - Court and Permanence Team - Southend-on-Sea - Up to £36,876 Per Annum + £1,000 Welcome Payment

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced social worker seeking a permanent position in a court and permanence team for a client based in Southend-on-Sea.

The role will involve being case accountable for a case load of children and young people and completing all necessary statutory LAC requirements, leading on their care planning and ensuring that their needs are met, and their voice is heard.

Duties of this Social Work Role:

* To be familiar with equal opportunities good practise and the council requirements for diversity and to implement this in all aspects of working practice and promote it in the team, workplace and wider organisation
* To represent the team, group or department on working parties and at other meetings as required
* Maintain accurate case records, and to be able to report on key performance management data
* To supervise social workers as required and to deputise for the team manager in all or some of their functions as required in their absence
* Where appropriate acting as the duty worker, responding to queries and issues on all cases currently being managed by the team
* To prepare and submit written reports as and when required, including statements and care plans for care proceedings in the family proceedings, county and high courts
* Investigate, evaluate and analyse information on cases, demonstrating clarity of assessment, reliability of information, evidences conclusions and realistic action plans
* Provide an efficient and cost effective service to children, young people and their families, ensuring that the needs of the children and their parents/carers are professionally assessed
* Provide professional and comprehensive casework to a caseload of children and young people, some of which will be complex and sensitive cases all will require the highest of professional standards and in depth knowledge of relevant legislation regulation and practice methods

Essential Requirements:

* HCPC registered
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Full UK licence holder
* Post-qualified experience
