Social Worker - Children in Need - Harrow - Up to £39,294 Per Annum + Retention Bonus

A children's social worker is needed to fill a full time, permanent vacancy within a children in need team. The role is based in the London Borough of Harrow. In this role, you will be managing a children and families caseload involving the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate action.

The expected duties of this role require you to have a full, UK license and vehicle with business insurance.

Duties of this Social Work Role:

* Undertaking initial and core assessments of children and families in accordance with the Assessment Framework
* Completing reports in a timely manner, including an analysis of the needs and circumstances of each child and family, the desired outcomes to be achieved and the services that are required
* Ensuring that every allocated child has an up to date and outcome-focused plan that clearly states the action, responsible professional(s) and agreed time scale for completion
* Ensuring that all allocated children are visited, spoken to/communicated with and monitored in accordance with statutory and procedural requirements and in line with best-practice standards
* Preparing and presenting reports for a range of purposes
* Undertaking on-going consultation and participation with children/young people, parents/carers and other professionals
* Ensuring that all new referrals are brought to the attention of the senior practitioner/team manager

Essential requirements:

* Post-qualified experience in child protection and court work
* Social Work England Registration
* Excellent report writing skills
* UK licence and an insured vehicle
* Eligibility to work in the UK
