Senior Social Worker - Court Team - Sandwell - £34,106 - £39,002 per annum

We are currently looking for a senior social worker to join Sandwell Trust as part of their Court Team. Sandwell's average caseload is currently 18 per worker, however, they are looking to reduce this to 15. This is part of the Trust's initiatives to improve the environment and workload on their social workers. Other measures taken include brand new offices and facilities, a friendly environment and putting on team events, etc.

Our client is also considering those who need to work flexibly, and are open to discussing hours to suit you.

As a Senior Social Worker within a Court Team, you will:

* Provide written reports, in a variety of different formats as required by the receiver of the court
* Work within court directed timescales
* Be responsible for a complex caseload of children and young people
* Conducting a range of assessments whilst listening to the views of the people you're supporting
* Using best practice and ensuring all legislative requirements are met
* Delivering quality children's plans in a pro-active and timely manner
* Empower children, young people, and their families/carers by listening to their views

Essential requirements as a Senior Social Worker:

* Previous experience in court work, permanency planning, and adoption
* Have excellent report writing skills
* To be qualified Social Worker
* Social Work England Registration and the legal right to work in the UK
