Social Worker - Looked After Children's Team - Wolverhampton - Up to £32.34 per hour

We require an experienced social worker to work in a looked after children's team - LAC in Wolverhampton.

Successful social workers will provide casework supervision to other social workers in the team and may also supervise students, trainees, less experienced professional team members, support staff or volunteers. You will act as a recognised expert within the specialist field.

Responsibilities as a Looked After Children Social Worker:

* Specific responsibilities for dealing with more complex cases, including assessment and appropriate management of risks and providing casework supervision to other team members
* Hold caseload of more complex cases: provides advice to other Social Workers in relation to their cases
* Chair a range of meetings, offer expert support to case conferences, and produce high quality assessments and reports for a range of functions. They model good practice, setting expectations for others
* They start to take responsibility and be accountable for the practice of others, mentoring newly qualified social workers, and supervising the work of junior staff
* They undertake capacity-building with individuals, families, communities, user groups and voluntary organisations, and contribute their views on service provision to commissioners whilst maintaining the core principles of an outcome focused approach

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work England registration
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Post-qualified experience
* Qualified as a social worker
