Social Worker - Children's Safeguarding & Family Support

Social Worker - Children's Safeguarding and Family Support - Southwark - £32 - £35 per hour

We require an experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join a Children's Safeguarding Team in Southwark.

As a successful Social Worker you will hold a caseload of children and provide an effective, evidence-based intervention with consideration of timeless and impact. You will assess, plan, review and provide support to a child, family or carer with complex family or social care needs, taking full account of appropriate legal frameworks, policy and guidance. Previous experience working in a child protection statutory role is essential.

Duties as a Children's Safeguarding Social Worker:

* Liaising with other professionals
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Working with children on the child protection register, looked after children and children in need
* Attending court
* Working with Public Law Outline (PLO)
* Single assessments
* Chairing child protection conferences
* Child protection meetings
* Case conferences

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience
* Must have child protection experience
* Social Work Degree or equivalent
