Social Work Team Manager - Fostering - East Riding of Yorkshire - Up to £40 per hour

An experienced Social Work Team Manager is required to manage a Fostering Team in East Riding of Yorkshire.

The successful Social Work Team Manager manage the effective provision of a full range of family placement fostering services to children in need, their families and carers within child care policies, directorate procedures and delegated authority ensuring the service meets strategic objective.

Duties as a Social Work Team Manager:

* To ensure the Service meets its sufficiency duty for fostering
* To support the ongoing development of the performance framework for fostering and ensure targets are met through efficient and effective data analysis and management oversight
* To ensure all referrals are received in the team and existing open cases are allocated in a timely manner according to the agreed process and statutory requirements
* To make decisions on cases in the team and in accordance with the Council policies
* To manage the efficient and effective deployment of the workforce and manage resources within budgets and the establishment of the team
* To recruit and appoint staff as appropriate and in accordance with the Council policies
* To provide supervision and undertake employee development reviews (EDRs) and plan training in accordance with identified needs and the supervision procedures. The Fostering Team manager will provide supervision for all Senior Social Workers as well as other staff deemed necessary and ensure effective and efficient oversight of arrangements for all other staff to receive supervision
* To routinely audit and quality assure work including case records and signing off of key reports
* To ensure that required case records in the team are accurate, kept up to date and timely and there is appropriate inputting of information and decisions recorded
* To ensure that required level of performance for foster carers is achieved and maintained in line with national and local requirements and to provide reports as necessary

Essential requirements of this Social Work Team Manager role:

* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Post-qualified experience
