Social Worker - Assistant Team Manager - MASH - Swindon - Salary up to £47,016 per annum
An exciting opportunity has developed within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub in Swindon, for an Assistant Team Manager (social work qualified) to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position with great training and development opportunities.
This is a fast-paced team which requires a manager who is able to work to strict deadlines and make safe and robust decisions under pressure. The successful Assistant Team Manager will need to be flexible and able to deal with changing needs and requests at short notice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to really broaden and develop their skill set and become part of a team committed to change and improving outcomes for children and their families in Swindon.
The managerial role is non case holding and is in a dynamic environment where you'll be working alongside other partner agencies to help to identify risk, protective factors and inform decision making.

Duties as a Social Worker - Assistant Team Manager:
* You will be responsible for ensuring prioritisation and screening of work across your team, demonstrating your expert practice in complex situations when making decisions and managing higher levels of risk.
* You will be responsible for recruiting, supervising and appraising your team, ensuring all team members have the relevant skills and knowledge to work effectively and efficiently.
* You will work collaboratively with others, developing and maintaining partnerships and multi-agency working, and you will be committed and motivated to help children and families change their lives for the better.
* Working with multi-agency partners and using Signs of Safety, you will lead a social care team ensuring that all children's outcomes are improved and that they are safeguarded effectively.
Essential requirements of this Social Work Team Manager role:
* Social Work England registration
* Ideally, but not essential, as the Assistant Manager you will need to have MASH/ACP experience and training/management experience of the supervision of staff
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK drivers' licence
* Post-qualified experience
