Social Worker - Looked After Children - Enfield - £35 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Social Worker to join the Looked after Children's Team in Enfield.

The successful Social Worker will be confident, skilled and determined to achieve the best for Looked after Children and gaining their permanency.

Duties as a Children's Social Worker include:

* Supporting children living with relatives, foster families, perspective adopters or older children living in children's homes.
* Responsibility for complex and varied cases.
* Ensuring children's safety and supporting them towards independence whilst fulfilling the council's obligations as a corporate parent.
* Involved in permanency planning for children and ensuring their holistic need are met in their long-term placement.
* Required to prepare reports and attend court to represent the Local Authority.
* Supervising students care coordinators and personal advisors depending on need.
* Developing meaningful relationships with children through regular visits, assessments and reviewing their care plans, to understand and interpret their wishes and champion them to reach their full potential.
* Liaising with professionals to ensure that a child/young person receives appropriate care, education and health services.

Requirements as a Children's Social Worker include:

* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
