Social Worker - Children's Assessment Team - Blackpool - £35 per hour

An experienced Social Worker is required to join a Children's Assessment Team in Blackpool. As a Social Worker, you will have the opportunity to put your previous experience to good use whilst being surrounded by a strong supportive network of experienced social workers and managers.

Duties as a Social Worker include:

* Responsibility for a caseload, including cases which can be of a complex and challenging nature and undertake child protection investigations, case work for children in care and children in need, acting as the Lead Safeguarding Professional.
* Undertaking high- quality, timely assessments to ensure services are provided efficiently and effectively.
* Liaising with colleagues and key professionals.
* Manage challenging cases, planning intervention and support to ensuring children's voices are always heard.
* Conducting formal supervision sessions and screening referrals.
* Working within current legislation, the City Council's policies and core values, and Departmental policies and procedures.
* Undertake accurate and sensitive assessments of Service Users, Carers and Families, where their situation could be complex and high-risk.
* Responsibility of completing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and updating Care & Support Plans through person-centred planning principles and relevant procedures

Essential requirements of this Social Worker role:

* Social Work England Registered
* Eligible to work in the UK
* A full UK license holder
