Service Manager - Children Looked After - London Borough of Wandsworth - Salary up to £74,202 per annum

We are currently looking for a Social Work Qualified Service Manager, to manage a Children Looked After Service in Wandsworth, London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a service who value each staff member and want each individual to be a leader and champion of exemplary practice. They require a Service Manager who has the ability to work with families to make changes, and to achieve early performance for children when they cannot remain at home.

Duties as a Service Manager:

* You will be working collaboratively with your colleagues across the department and with partners, to deliver high-quality and responsive social work to some of the most vulnerable children and families in Wandsworth
* Responsible for leading a talented group of social workers within our CLA and UASC teams
* Able to work with families to make changes, and to achieve early permanence for children when they cannot remain at home

Essential requirements of this Service Manager role:

* Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England
* Extensive experience of management within children's social care services, with specific knowledge and interest in services for Children Looked After
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as an ability to build relationships with practitioners, families and partners
* The legal right to work in the UK
