Adults Social Worker – Team Leader – East Riding of Yorkshire
Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an Adults Social Worker to join our clients Safegaurding / Assessments Team as Team Leader. This is a unique leadership role which requires candidates to have a strong background in Safeguarding Adults, who can work autonomously, whilst also contributing to effective and safe service delivery.
You will work in line with the legislative frameworks to reduce demand/backlogs within the service; whilst also developing practice guidance with the support of the Principal Social Worker and Senior Leadership Team.

Your duties as a Team Leader:
- You will manage the effective provision of a range of social work services and Community Care Services to vulnerable adults and carers within Directorate procedures and delegated authority in a defined geographical district
- You will monitor the delegated Commissioning budget ensuring that expenditure does not exceed resources allocated
- You will manage the efficient and effective deployment of the workforce and manages resources within budgets and the establishment of the team
- You will recruit and appoint staff as appropriate and in accordance with the Council Policies
- You will provide effective supervision and undertakes Performance Management Reviews and plans training in accordance with identified needs
- You will maintain an overview of professional practice and advises professional decisions and advises on complex cases within delegated authority
- You will advise and coach Assessment Officers in their decision making, planning, and monitoring of outcomes
What we are looking for in a Team Leader:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
