About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Area manager to oversee a cluster of Children’s Residential homes across the across the North West and North wales area. You will be working for an incredible organisation who provide a range of residential homes for Children and Young People with complex needs.

Your key responsibilities as Area Manager:

As the Area Manager your key responsibilities include strategically leading and developing four registered homes for Children and Young People who may present behaviours which may challenge and have experienced child sexual exploitation. You will develop a value driven culture by ensuring a child centred approach and positive outcomes are at the forefront of everything you do. You will develop and maintain customer and account management relationships promoting the residential children’s homes with external stakeholders to maximise business opportunities and support geographically dispersed sites to deliver/exceed contractual performance objectives and maintain agreed levels.

You will mentor, coach and support your team of registered managers to develop and enhance individual and team performance and to optimise service delivery. You will be managing the budget effectively and in line with company financial policies and you will be responsible for taking the lead and supporting with all regulatory inspections, ensuring actions are met prior to, and following, inspections.

The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable and dynamic individual who can use their previous experience and understanding of children’s residential services to ensure the homes, staff and young people thrive. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and lead your team to greatness.

Essential Requirement:

• You will hold a minimum of a Level 5 in Leadership and Management (residential childcare)
• Level 4 Diploma for Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (or equivalent qualification)
• Extensive knowledge around Children’s Homes regulations (2015), Children’s Homes Regulations including the quality standards, Ofsted regulations and CIW
• Recent experience working either as a Children’s homes operations manager or as a Senior Children’s Home Registered Manager in a Children’s Home
