Your main responsibilities as a Band 7 CAMHS Clinical Nurse Specialist:

• The post holder will be expected to provide comprehensive mental health and risk assessments of children and young people presenting in crisis in a variety of settings, such as emergency departments, paediatric wards, adult mental health wards, CAMH community sites or the patient’s home.
• The CAMH Practitioner will be required to make a clear formulation and develop a care and risk plan after the assessment of a young person presenting in crisis.
• You must be able to demonstrate de-escalation skills with challenging and/or acutely distressed young people in potentially hostile situations.
• The role requires liaison with health professionals, both paediatric and adult, across acute and community sites with the safe discharge or transfer of patients to their local mental health services being paramount.

What we are looking for in a Band 7 CAMHS Clinical Nurse Specialist:

• NMC registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
