Band 8 Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner – Enfield – Pain Management

Contract:  3 Months
Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 09:00 – 17:00

 
Liquid Personnel is currently looking for a Band 8 Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner to join our clients Pain Management Team in Enfield.
 
As a successful Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, you will be providing high quality Pain management and physiotherapy services to meet the needs of a multicultural and diverse population of the London Borough of Enfield.

Your duties as a Band 8 Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner in Enfield:

  • Key member of Pain Management MDT including Pain Management Consultants, Psychologist and Nurse Clinical Specialists
  • Participate actively in the senior management of the Enfield pain Service contributing to its wider support and development.
  • To work outside the scope of normal physiotherapy practice as an autonomous Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner.
  • To triage, assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with persistent pain
  • As an autonomous practitioner to provide a highly specialised clinical physiotherapy service and advanced practitioner service to a range of pain outpatients and to provide expert clinical opinion when needed.
  • Delivery of Pain Management Programmes to groups of patients
  • Use expert clinical reasoning skills to highly provide specialist support and advice to the pain physiotherapy team and other clinical staff, within and outside the organisation.
  • To autonomously maintain a clinical caseload this will include those patients with highly complex presentations.
  • To facilitate collaborative working practices and liaison between the MSK Physiotherapy service, and associated services such as: Orthopaedics and Rheumatology; local GPs and other Pain Management services both in primary and secondary care local and national.
  • To ensure the provision of a high standard of physiotherapy treatment to patients presenting with persistent pain.
  • To be responsible for the promotion of the Pain management of patients presenting with pain across the Trust.
  • To identify clinical research, audit, and data collection priorities within area of expertise, to drive the departmental clinical development strategy.
  • To support the Clinical lead for Pain in the efficient and smooth running of the Integrated Pain Service.
  • To supervise and support senior staff members within the service
  • To interpret national guidance on clinical issues and advise managers on planning and organisation of local implementation.

Essential requirements as a Band 8 Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner:

  • Qualified Physiotherapist, with extensive post qualified experience
  • Pain management experience
  • HCPC registered
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • Full UK licence, with access to your own vehicle
