Best Interests Assessor – Swindon – £36,411 to £48,639 pro rata

Your main responsibilities as a Best Interest Assessor:

  • You will be routinely undertaking Best Interests assessments and related tasks under the direction of the Team and Assistant Team Managers within the MCA/DoLS Team
  • You will be developing the service that is going to be taking place soon due to the introduction of the Liberty Protection Safeguards.  
  • You will provide a skilled and practical resource to the wider Adult Social Care Teams regarding the application of the Mental Capacity Act.   
  • You will manage all processes related to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards legal framework

Essential requirements: 

  • You must be Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK licence
  • Have post-qualified experience in Social Work
  • Have a degree level or equivalent in Social Work
