Children’s Home Team Leader – Chorley, Lancashire – Permanent

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Team Leader to join the busy team at a Chorley based children’s home.

This is a full-time position with a starting salary of £30,000 (incl 2 sleeps), annual leave, plus overtime rates paid at £18.12, annual leave, opportunities for further development as you will be joining our client at a very exciting time of growth and expansion.

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join an established children’s residential home within the Blackburn area. The home is Registered for up to 4 young people from 7- 18 years old with a background of emotional behaviour difficulties and child sexual exploitation. Their residential children’s service has a reputation for providing outstanding levels of care and commitments to young people and their families.
 
Your key responsibilities as the Team Leader:

As the Team Leader your main responsibility is to lead and direct your team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. You will work with the Registered Manager and deputy of the home to establish and maintain standards and monitor the delivery of high quality, child centred care to children and young people referred to the home in accordance with policies and procedures. You will identify areas for continuous improvement and adopt a therapeutic approach to care, leading by example. You will integrate as part of the rota, undertaking shifts and sleep-ins as required and will help to organise the rota and tasks for your team. The role is a great development opportunity with lots of new skills to learn and a chance to really make a difference to the children.

Essential Requirements

  • Hold a Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare.
  • Good knowledge around Children’s Homes regulations (2015), Children’s Homes Regulations including the quality standards
  • Hold at least 3 years’ experience within a children’s residential homes and 1 years’ experience at a Senior or Team Leader level
  • Hold a Full UK driving licence
