Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Children’s Placement Coordinator to join the busy team at a Somerset based Care Leaving Team.

Our qualified Children’s Placement Coordinator will have experience of working within a cared for children’s team or a safeguarding children’s team.

Primary Responsibilities as a Children’s Placement Coordinator:

• Identify appropriate placement options and liaise with both in-house and external providers.
• Helping to embed the Peninsular Placement Tendering Process across the subregion, building relationships and sharing good practice with partner authorities, and promoting co-operation and collaboration to achieve similar improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
• Create and maintain a Devon placement services’ database to facilitate improved management of the Options Appraisal process and to oversee current and future caseloads.
• Undertake with the Lead Officer an assessment of current monitoring and performance management arrangements, determining any necessary changes and reporting back to the children Management Team and the Southwest Peninsular Commissioning Board.
• Assist in mapping existing services and their use, to obtain a wider view of the current market and to identify current gaps in service availability and/or performance that will feed back into future commissioning planning and sufficiency.

Further Information:
 
As our Children’s Placement Coordinator, you will carry out visits to a family for around 5 hours per month. You should also have valid SWE registration and an enhanced DBS issued within 12 months. In addition, you should have a minimum of two references available to view with at least one reference from their current/most recent employer. You must have all employment history, qualified social worker with experience of working within a cared for children’s team or a safeguarding children’s team with any gaps verified.

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK license
• post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
