Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join our client’s team in Hemsworth.
Due to the nature of this role, our client requires a Social Worker who has post qualified experience in a similar role
What will it give you as a social worker?
- On site free car parking across all sites
- Teams at Wakefield are area based covering small geographical areas, meaning less travel
- Low Caseloads – As of Feb 2022 the average caseload was 19
- Recent Ofsted rating “Good with Outstanding Leadership” as of January
Primary Responsibilities as Social Worker:
- Lead and provide day to day management of the team, providing appropriate support, personal development review and performance management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, the safety and well-being of the staff and effective use of resources.
- Develop a clear team plan which links the strategic objectives of the organisation, local improvements in performance and learning from complaints.
- Provide monthly supervision which is reflective but provides clear direction and challenge and prevent drift and delay in the child’s journey.
- Provide management oversight on all cases which evidence understanding of risk.
- Quality assures the work of the team by a range of means including case file audit, DIP sampling, observations, and reflective supervision, and any other means as outlined in the quality assurance framework and contribute to further developments of the framework.
- Effectively manage the workflow within social work caseloads to ensure that children and young people’s needs are met appropriately within a timely manner.
Further Requirements:
Experienced Child Protection team social worker. Needs to have a valid driving licence and own car. Have experience in assessment, child protection, child in need and court proceedings, duty. To be able to work as part of a team and be flexible depending on the cases and situations we are dealing with.
What we are looking for in a Social Worker:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK license
- post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
