Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Family Support Worker, to join our clients Safegaurding Children Team in Berkshire.
As a successful Family Support Worker, you will work in close partnership with children and their families to assist social workers in undertaking assessments and investigations.

Your duties as a Family Support Worker in Berkshire:

• You will undertake direct work with children, young people and their families which will include building family resilience, assisting with practical tasks and one to one work with children, including life story work
• You will work in close partnership with stakeholders and agencies to ensure the needs of children are met
• You will actively promote and encourage participation by children, young people, and families
• You will be following best practice around safeguarding, and following agreed policies and procedures when there are concerns that need to be acted upon, having particular regard for statutory guidance on safeguarding children
• You will be required to maintain comprehensive records of all casework on the recording system to evidence good practice across the child’s journey and to support relevant inspection regimes that judge the effectiveness on outcomes for children and young people

Essential requirements of this Family Support Worker role:

• Previous experience in a Family Support Worker role
• Knowledge of legislation applicable to this role e.g. Children Act 1989
• An ability to keep and maintain accurate records in a timely way
• Experience of delivering front line statutory interventions is an advantage, but not essential
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and engage with children, parents, carers, and other professionals
• the legal right to work in the UK
