Humanities Teacher – SEN School – North West London
Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Humanities Teacher to join our clients SEN School in North West London.
As a successful Humanities Teacher, you will make the education of your students your first concern and will be accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct. Our client is looking for a Humanities Teacher with post qualified experience, to become part of their dedicated and passionate team.

Your duties as a Humanities Teacher:
- You will set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- You may need to teach additional subjects dependent on your timetable
- You will promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
- You will demonstrate good Humanities subject and curriculum knowledge
- You will be required to adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
- You will plan and teach well-structure, and engaging lessons
- You will be required to manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
- You will make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
- You will take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
Essential requirements of this Humanities Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher status, with previous experience as a Humanities Teacher
- A commitment to yourself and your colleagues in striving for excellence
- A commitment to all aspects of safeguarding
- A passion for teaching SEN pupils
- experience and demonstrable success in supporting neurodiverse children, or with Autism (ASC) and/or Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) and an understanding of potential implications form communication, learning and behaviour
- Experience of managing challenging behaviour, offering a calm response, and always promoting de-escalation and emotional regulation
- The legal right to work in the UK
