Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an Independent Reviewing Officer to join a busy Children Looked After Team based in Harrow.

Your main responsibilities as an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO):

• To monitor the quality of practice for Children Looked After, and to challenge practice which does not meet required national and local standards.
• To negotiate resolution of problems at a local level. If unsuccessful, to make representation to senior management, including the Director of Children Services, Chief Executive, and if necessary, by referring the matter to CAFCASS, who will consider legal action.
• To ensure that care plans and timescales reflect the needs of each Child Looked After
• Undertake the chairing of Children Looked After reviews and Child Protection conferences as required.

Further Requirements:

As an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) you will act as lead officers for the review of Children Looked After and to ensure the development of high quality practice for Children Looked After which meets national and locally set performance targets.
 
What we are looking for in an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO):

• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
