Maths/Science Teacher – SEMH – Lancashire

Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an experienced SEMH Maths/Science Teacher to join our client based in Lancashire. You will be joining an independent specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic, and child-centred education to children.

The team require a Mathematics or Science specialist. Their curricula span Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key stage 3, and GCSE. As a successful Maths/Science Teacher, you will be supported by national subject champions who can support the work of non-subject specialists to be experts in how best to facilitate learning for the children they know best.

More information about the role of Maths/Science Teacher:

  • The children come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
  • The School uses a closely triangulated approach places the child at the centre of decision making, ensuring that education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, local authority teams and, most importantly, their students can work together to secure outstanding outcomes for all

 
Essential requirements of this Maths/Science Teacher role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Previous experience in a SEMH role
  • Experience in teaching either Maths or Science, but must be confident teaching both subjects
  • The legal right to work in the UK
