Residential Support Worker – Bolton – Safeguarding/Disability
Liquid Personnel is currently looking for a Residential Support Worker to join our clients Safeguarding/Disability Team in Bolton.
This is a short breaks service for disabled young people and their families. You will be joining the team for four months, with the possibility of this being extended.
The position is for a residential support worker, 30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours available. Typically, this will be 4 x 7.5 hours shifts a week between the hours 7am and 10pm, working includes early mornings, evening, and weekend.

What will you be doing as a Residential Support Worker in Bolton:
- You will maintain high standards which are currently in place
- You will meet the overall aim of the children’s home by providing high quality, short break care for children and young people with learning disabilities who may also have additional care needs arising from behavioural difficulties
- You will provide for the practical and personal care needs of children and young people on a day-to-day basis in partnership with families
- You will provide a positive role model and act as key worker identified children and young people with disabilities, presenting yourself in a highly professional manner
- You will assess the needs of children and young people with disabilities and contribute to the planning and implementation of agreed care plans
- You will stimulate development and learning skills through play, social interactions and encouragement of children and young people to make informed choices
- You will participate in the general activities and delivery of services as a member of the team
- You will participate in and complete reports for statutory reviews and meetings concerning the young people and to attend any child related meetings as appropriate

Essential requirements of this Residential Support Worker role:
- NVQ3 or equivalent in a childcare or related area
- Previous experience of working with young people and an understanding of the impact of disability are essential
- The legal right to work in the UK
