Senior Housing Manager – Supported Living – Adults and Young Adults

Crewe & Macclesfield, East Cheshire – £35,000 per annum + company car + mileage paid

37.5 hours per week

Do you have multiple years of experience in Mental Health within a Supported Living or Housing scheme environment, either as a Team Leader or Manager? If so, this is definitely the role for you.

We are working with a community-based service that provides support to adults and young people across the East Cheshire region. Individuals require varying levels of support as a result of ongoing mental health needs, ranging from 24-hour support in a supported living setting to domiciliary support. The provider are highly established and recognised within the greater community, for the fantastic work they do. CQC have rated their services across the three locations as “Good”.

For this role you will receive a salary of £35,000 with a brand-new company car, mileage paid and the potential to be able to study at university while also working full-time.

Duties as a Supported Living Housing Manager include:

  • Assisting in the implementation and review of relevant policies, procedures, and documentation in relation to supported housing services
  • Communicating effectively with all agencies, carers and families involved in the service users support package
  • Provide out-of-hours emergency support as appropriate covering the ’emergency on-call service’ on a rota basis
  • Assessing individual need on an ongoing basis to support the implementation and review of service users support plans
  • Supporting service users in the management of their financial affairs in accordance with local policies
  • Be aware of the Health and Safety at Work Act and ECHC policies regarding health and safety, reporting any problems to senior staff
  • Be familiar with relevant parts of the law pertaining to Mental Health, and any effects it may have on tenants
  • Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager any complaints, accidents or other untoward incidents and cooperate with any investigations which may result

Requirements as a Supported Living Housing Manager include:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 or 4 qualification in Social Care
  • Experience of working within Mental Health
  • Have held a Team Leader or Manager’s position within a Supported Living/Housing service
  • Have experience with young adults
  • The legal right to work in the UK
