Senior Teacher – SEN School – Newham, London
Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Senior Teacher to join our clients SEN School in Newham, London.
As a successful Senior Teacher, you will lead Teachers and TEPs to deliver the Schools cluster model in the community. Their curriculum is focussed on academic, vocational and enrichment.

Your duties as a Senior Teacher:
- You will set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- You may need to teach additional subjects dependent on your timetable
- You will promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
- You will demonstrate good Humanities subject and curriculum knowledge
- You will be required to adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
- You will plan and teach well-structure, and engaging lessons
- You will be required to manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
- You will make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
- You will take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
Essential requirements of this Senior Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher status, with extensive post qualified experience as a Teacher
- A commitment to yourself and your colleagues in striving for excellence
- A commitment to all aspects of safeguarding
- A passion for teaching SEN pupils
- experience and demonstrable success in supporting neurodiverse children, or with Autism (ASC) and/or Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) and an understanding of potential implications form communication, learning and behaviour
- Experience of managing challenging behaviour, offering a calm response, and always promoting de-escalation and emotional regulation
