Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Senior Youth Support Worker to join our clients Assessment/Safeguarding Community Team in Crewe, Cheshire.

As a successful Senior Youth Support Worker, you will work with vulnerable young people in group situations and one to one interventions.

Your duties as a Senior Youth Support Worker in Crewe:

• You will plan, deliver, supervise, and evaluate youth work programmes to include the creation of a safe and welcoming environment in which young people can meet, relax, and develop social and other skills
• You will promote the active involvement, personal and social development of young people to ensure the delivery of high-quality youth work
• You will supervise Youth Support Workers and volunteers on a daily basis ensuring effective youth work is delivered within agreed policy and quality standards. Plan work in accordance with health and safety requirements to enable the safe delivery of services to young people
• You will complete and collect youth work recordings and management information in line with Council policies and procedures to ensure the accurate collection of data
• You will develop and maintain positive relationships with young people which allow the delivery of effective youth work and ensures the young person’s wellbeing.

Essential requirements of this Senior Youth Support Worker role:

• Previous experience as a Youth Worker
• NVQ Level 3 Youth Work, or equivalent is essential
• JNC National Youth Work Qualification, or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience of working with vulnerable young people
• As this is a community role, a car driver with access to your own vehicle is essential
• The legal right to work in the UK
