Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Social Work Assistant to join our clients Adult Services in Shropshire. You will be joining the Short-Term Team North East.
As a successful Social Work Assistant, you will support the work of the community-based team for older people and people with physical disabilities and sensory impairment in providing a fully integrated community-based service.

What will you be doing as a Social Work Assistant:

• You will provide assessments and fieldwork support to service users and carers and will arrange appropriate services in accordance with Council Policies and Procedures
• You will be responsible to the Senior Practitioner and will provide support and
  guidance and is in turn responsible for the post holder’s health and safety, training
  and development
• You will ensure individual and service performance targets are met
• You will be working with colleagues to ensure the team functions successfully in support of the services corporate and service objectives
• You will provide an assessment and care management service to older people,
  people with disabilities and their carers in the community, within the framework
  of relevant legislation, Council Policies, and procedures
• You will hold a caseload with appropriate supervision and advice

Essential requirements of this Social Work Assistant role:

• Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care
• Previous experience in a Social Work Assistant role, working directly with adults
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines whilst working independently and effectively
• The legal right to work in the UK
