The role of a Social Work Team Manager:
 

• The Violence and Exploitation Team delivers intensive outreach intervention with young people at high risk of becoming involved in group related offending, county lines, serious youth violence including gangs and child criminal exploitation, child sexual exploitation; and/or who are missing, vulnerable and exploited
• You will be ensuring timely and effective decision making, case allocation and effective multi-agency working.
• You will be empowering and inspiring a team of Family Support and Social workers to get the best outcomes for children.
• You will have accountability for the performance of your team, delivering regular reflective supervision and can motivate your team to achieve excellence

 
Essential requirements of this Social Work Team Manager role:

• Ability to provide leadership to the tea
• Ability to plan and manage own and others workload
• Ability to supervise staff, to assess professional competence and enable further professional development in others
• Social Work qualified, with valid Social Work England registration
• Good knowledge of child development and significant experience of child protection work
• The legal right to work it the UK
