What you will be doing as a Social Worker?

•  Supervise young people according to National and Local Youth Justice guidelines and other relevant criminal justice and childcare legislation.
• You will work collaboratively with young people and their parents or carers to agree achievable goals that are in line with court requirements and, in partnership with other agencies seek to ensure that the highest quality intervention is provided.
• To undertake high quality, contextually analytical assessments, within statutory timescales, which are reflective of presenting concerns and responsive to identified unmet needs and/or risks.
• To ensure that services are efficiently and effectively provided, liaising as necessary with other Council Divisions, Health, Education, Police, and other statutory, independent, and voluntary sector providers.

Further requirements:

As a social worker, you will Assess young people’s offending behaviour and personal circumstances with a view to identifying the most appropriate service response, which minimises the risk of reoffending and promotes the development of the young person and Identify and assess levels of risk and need and deliver protective or supportive services to young people on your caseload.

What we are looking for in a Social Worker:

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
