This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the Post Adoption and SGO Support Team at Northamptonshire.

The successful Social Worker will be joining an adoption service which recruits and assesses prospective adopters through to their approval at panel. They work closely with the children’s social work team to match children and young people with adopters. The team also provide training and support to all adopters.

The successful Social Worker will have experience of: 

• Understanding of the Adoption regulations (with preference for experience in this area although not essential) 
• Assessment of the needs of children
• Providing support to families in need
• Form F Assessments
• Conducting initial visits
• Taking cases to panel
• Liaising with other professionals 
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• Holding complex cases
• Viability assessments 

Essential requirements of this Social Worker role: 

• Relevant Social work qualification
• Social work England Registered
• Experience within similar social work settings
• The legal right to work in the UK
