Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a busy Child in Need/Child Protection/Child in Care Team based in Plymouth.

Your duties as a Social Worker:

• Involvement daily with service users who are experiencing or who have experienced all forms of child abuse. The subject material is often distressing, and this is an integral feature of the role
• Act always in accordance with appropriate legislation and regulations, codes of practice, the provisions of the Council’s constitution and its policies and procedures
• Undertake all duties with due regard to the corporate equalities policy and relevant legislation.

Further requirements:

As a social worker your purpose is to safeguard children and young people who have either suffered or who are likely to be at risk of suffering significant harm (as defined by the Children Act 1989) by identifying the full range of risks to children and help manage those risks; ensuring proportionate intervention, including securing and supporting alternative homes for children and for permanency including adoption.
 
What we are looking for in a Social Worker:

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
