Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Substance Misuse Nurse to join a busy team based in Barnet & Haringey.

As a Substance Misuse Nurse, you will be responsible of assessing, screening, planning, and delivering care to those with not only substance misuse issues but may also mental and physical health concerns.

Your main responsibilities as a Substance Misuse Nurse:

• Assess opiate dependence and in conjunction with the medical team support the prescribing of evidence based opiate substitution treatments, providing person-centered, flexible care (to include stabilisation, intermediate maintenance and detox regimes)
• Initiate clients onto opiate substitute medication, via observed administration in our onsite care clinic and be responsible for the operational running of the clinic.
• Hold a caseload complex clients, undertake comprehensive assessments, physical and mental health needs, social and support issues to develop clinical safe and client centered treatment plans
• To work as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team actively participating in clinical team meetings, group supervision and contributing to the yearly service development plan

What we are looking for in a Substance Misuse Nurse:

• NMC registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
