Deadline Extended for Liquid’s Social Work Writing Contest
The deadline for our social work writing competition has been extended to Friday 25th November, after a number of requests from people regarding extra time to get entries submitted. The entries we have received so far have been very good quality and we just want to make sure that everyone who wants to enter, has the chance!
We’re looking for fresh perspectives and solutions about the challenges and pressures of social work, and are offering £1,000 for the best answer to this question:
"The average 'career lifespan' of a social worker is just 8 years. What can be done to increase engagement among social workers and keep them in the profession for longer?"
The competition will be judged by a panel of 5 sector experts: Ruth Allen, the Chief Executive of British Association of Social Workers; Ian Winter, a Former Director of Adults’ and Children’s Services; Tony Crane, a Department for Education Improvement Advisor; Sarah Baker, Health Peer for the Local Government Association and also The Social Work Tutor, prominent sector writer and blogger.
We want you to use your first-hand experience to express your views on the issues effecting the sector. With 5 prominent figures in the industry reading your ideas, this is a great opportunity to suggest positive changes for the future of social work - not to mention, the chance to also win a fantastic prize!
To enter, simply answer the above question in no more than 1,000 words, and send it along with your completed entry form to awards@liquidpersonnel.com
