Liquid Host Expert FGM & Radicalisation Training
On Friday 15th September 2017, Liquid Personnel hosted an exclusive training event on the topics of FGM and Radicalisation. The training took place at The Great Hall, London Metropolitan University and was open to 100 of our social workers.
The free training was delivered by Robin Watts, a skilled child protection investigator, trainer and 30-year veteran within the Metropolitan Police. The course also counted towards their continuous professional development (CPD).
With both topics becoming more and more prominent in the UK, we knew that holding a training event to enhance our workers’ skills in these areas would be hugely beneficial. We received great feedback after the event, with one practitioner commenting: “I found the FGM presentation to be really interesting and relevant to practice”. Liquid also held a prize draw for those who referred other social workers to the event. Kirsty Phillips was the lucky winner and went home with a brand new iPad!
