Liquid Hold Expert Seminar on Child Sexual Exploitation for Social Workers
Liquid Personnel hosted an exclusive training event on the topic of child sexual exploitation for 100 social workers at St. Anne's College Oxford last Friday.
The event was presented by Robin Watts, a 30-year veteran with the Metropolitan Police, and was free to all Liquid social workers upon completion of the course.
The course itself focused on CSE, a topic described by the government as a national threat and the fastest-growing types of abuse in Britain
A specialist in child protection investigations, Watts had spent a decade developing a CSE-training unit for the police service and now uses his skills and experience to educate social workers and police officers.
Attending workers were given new insight and awareness into the signs of exploitation, how to safeguard against and how to support CSE victims, with the training counting as six hours toward their continuous professional development.
