Mindfulness – The Key to a Happier Social Work Frontline
A recent Community Care article has spoken about an Ofsted report regarding a once ‘inadequate’ council. The report has described the mindfulness training that they provide their employees with, as the reason behind the rise is social worker numbers. They also believe that it’s responsible for the increase in staff morale, helping them achieve the ‘requires improvement’ rating.
Professor Mark Williams, former director of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, says that mindfulness means knowing directly what is going on inside and outside ourselves, moment by moment (NHS.com)
