Warwickshire County Council has recently introduced a new structured career pathway that provides supportive leadership to help practitioners progress within their roles every year. Within just four years at the council following this dedicated career pathway, practitioners can progress from a newly qualified social worker to an advanced social worker, with further opportunities on offer to go into leadership and management, coaching others and taking on more complex work.
