How to meet the CPD requirements for Social Work England
Introduction
All social workers registered with Social Work England are required to maintain and evidence their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) before the annual renewal deadline in November each year.
As of 1st December 2021, Social Work England made some changes to meeting the CPD requirements for registration renewal. To meet this requirement you must now record at least two pieces of CPD, including one with a peer reflection.
Attending this event will not only support you in meeting the requirements for peer reflection, but will also count as one of the two pieces of CPD you are required to undertake.

What can I expect on the day?
The aim of this workshop is to enable you to:
- Have an understanding of the CPD requirements for Social Work England
- Work through examples on how to meet the requirements
- Understand the available information and support which will assist you in meeting your CPD requirements
This event also aims to provide a space for you to reflect on your CPD with a peer.

- Discuss what you have learnt from completing CPD, using one of your own examples
- Think about the positive impact the CPD activity has had (or will have) on your role, your practice and the people you work with
The session will be free of charge and will focus on meeting the CPD requirements for your imminent Social Work England registration renewal deadline. All event attendees will receive a certificate, which counts towards re-registration.
Who should attend the workshop?
Liquid’s training and CPD events are designed for our adults’ and children’s social workers, however we are pleased on this occasion to offer this workshop to all social workers whether you are registered with Liquid Personnel or not.
Who will be the host?
Carol Stewart, Director of Chinara Enterprises Ltd and a registered social worker of over 25 years, is hosting this workshop. Carol has been running these events for a number of years and supports social workers in meeting their CPD requirements for the social work regulator.
