This role is to work in the Adoption Team, with a focus on Post Adoption Support. This includes assessing the post adoption needs of an adopted child and where the criteria is met, completing and submitting a request for the financial support to the Adoption Support Fund to secure the appropriate therapeutic intervention. The role is full time, with some flexibility needed for occasional early evening work.

As a Qualified Social Worker within the Adoption Team, you will:

• Complete Form C assessments for connected carers.
• Provide effective supervision to mainstream foster carers, ensuring they have the support they need to care for the children who live with them.
• Ensure the completion of comprehensive and high-quality foster carer reviews.
• Be responsible for the assessment, supervision and support of kinship carers

As a Qualified Social Worker within the Adoption Team, you are required to:

• Hold a Social Work England registration.
• Be eligible to work in the UK.
• Hold a full UK license.
• Social Work Qualification, degree or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services.
